Murphy Surveys shared insights at Weaverham High School
Matthieu Marsault, Manager and Thomas Townley, Senior Surveyor of Murphy Surveys in Manchester were invited to speak at the Weaverham High School’s year 9 Careers Fair on Thursday 23rd January, alongside over 30 other companies.
Weaverham High School is a large non-denominational co-educational comprehensive secondary school in Weaverham, Cheshire, England. It is a mixed-gender school consisting of 11 to 16-year olds and is one of the partner high schools of Sir John Deane’s College.
As an expert with years of experience in the geospatial and surveying space, Matthieu took the opportunity to share his expertise by taking the students through some exciting projects he has worked on whilst highlighting the various technologies that were utilised.
“It was a pleasure to share my knowledge with the students of Weaverham High School and creating awareness about the geospatial world. I hope they have learned a thing or two from my talk as I have certainly discovered new things from them. It was interesting to hear about their ambitions and goals, and hopefully, we will gain future surveyors from this group,” said Matthieu.
Murphy Surveys will continue to play our part in educating the younger generation on the importance of the geospatial industry in hopes of resolving the shortage in the number of surveyors that we have today.
