We cover many areas of surveying such as BIM, topographic surveys, setting out, monitoring, tunnels, railways, rivers, measured building surveys, utility & GPR, and much more.

Minimum requirements of post-holder

  • Health, Safety and Environmental Training
  • CSCS Card
  • Relevant Management Training
  • Able to travel nationwide
  • Cat B driver’s License
  • Very good level of English
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a senior surveyor in their particular field (proving competency)
  • Degree in surveying (or related field)

General responsibilities of the post

  • Implement company policies and procedures and ensure compliance from site teams
  • Completion of project RAMS
  • Identify areas to reduce H+S non-conformities and act upon those that do occur
  • Develop an efficient programme of work and strategy for the project
  • Brief survey teams appropriately on the work involved
  • Attend client/site meetings
  • Carry out site inspections
  • Communicate effectively with other departments in completing projects
  • Assist in training department staff
  • Proven commercial awareness and potential business development within the project
  • Good multi-disciplinary technical knowledge
  • Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Effectively manage multiple projects under pressurised situations

Specific responsibilities of the post

  • Scheduling resources and coordinating with other PMs to ensure no conflicts
  • Ensure all projects are designed, implemented and delivered as per department and company quality procedures
  • Report directly to Operations/Department Manager
  • Report to Head of Monitoring on a weekly basis for any critical business
  • Track expenditure on projects
  • Invoicing – compiling of trackers to assist accounts in invoicing duties
  • Forecasts – compile revenue forecasts for all projects
  • Purchasing – ensure VfM measures are implemented and research is completed before placing orders with suppliers
  • Suppliers – engage with non-strategic suppliers i.e. plant hire, materials etc.
  • Ensure accurate records of personnel are kept for performance reviews
  • Equipment – ensure accurate records are kept for all monitoring equipment – to be delegated as required.
  • Ensure an acceptable level of delegation of tasks is done.
  • Keep daily diaries of tasks carried out.
  • Ensure all project documentation is kept up to date for the following areas:
    • Health and safety
    • Operations
    • Technical
    • Quality
