Setting Out & As Built Survey of the Corinthia Hotel, London

About This Project

Client Requirement

In May 2011, the Corinthia opened its doors as one of London’s most luxurious hotels, following an extensive renovation that comprehensively transformed the historic site. At times during the project it was the UK’s second largest single building site after the Olympic Stadium. The grand 306 room hotel includes the largest hotel room in London and a four storey spa.

A major excavation made space for two floors below ground level to house part of the hotel’s four storey spa – the largest city day spa in London. Murphy Surveys was commissioned to carry out all surveying works on the development of this spa.

Solution

The solution provided included:

  • Setting out of all internal wall layouts, partitioning, fixed equipment and furniture, to assist in the construction and refurbishment of the Spa.
  • As built survey drawings to assist the design and project management team throughout the works.
