About the position

As part of this exciting new chapter we are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable GPR NDT Surveyor to join our Subsurface Mapping Team in the UK. Reporting to the Subsurface Mapping Manager the role will focus on using GPR, ultrasonic and other non-intrusive methods for the assessment of concrete and structures. Working closely with the project management team and the client you will be responsible for carry out measurements and collect and interpret data according to the clients specification. Working out of our busy London office, you’ll be passionate and committed to the development and growth of the department and business.

Qualifications/Experience

Candidates must be knowledgeable with the latest techniques, methods and practices, including ground penetrating radar; have a good grasp on construction and reinforcement engineering. They must be able to attend site, collect and analyse data, and write detailed reports.

Candidate requirements

  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience
  • Fundamental knowledge of the principles and practices of GPR and NDT surveying
  • Understand scopes of work and project requirements
  • Ideally have working knowledge of current CAD programs
  • Possess an understanding of common industry practices and standards
  • Detailed knowledge of survey methods and survey devices, GPR, Ultrasonic, Total Stations, GPS and data collectors
  • Knowledge of utility detection equipment would be advantageous
  • Ability to perform detailed field and office surveying work
  • Use of post processing software and AutoCAD
  • Excellent data processing and analysis skills
  • Ability to write factual reports
  • Build and maintain client relationships ensuring to deliver the best standard of customer service and meet the objectives set
