Murphy Surveys is the leading monitoring and engineering surveying company in the British Isles. Established 35 years ago in Ireland, we now have over 140 employees in Ireland and over 90 employees in the UK. We cover many areas of surveying such as BIM, topographic surveys, setting out, monitoring of tunnels, buildings and railways, river surveys, measured building surveys, utility & GPR surveys and much more.
We are still growing strongly in the UK and are looking for an experienced and skilled estimator for our monitoring department which carries our geotechnical and geodetical monitoring. This is an exciting opportunity for ambitious sales or estimator candidates who will work directly with the Monitoring Department Director.

About the position

Our Monitoring Department continues to grow and with larger projects underway and in the pipeline, the need for a Monitoring Estimator / Sales Assistance is greater than ever.

Key Accountabilities

  • Prepare quotations for monitoring projects
  • Create and follow through leads with new and existing clients
  • Manage strong relationships with current clients
  • Supplier inquiries
  • Work in collaboration with sales and estimators of other departments

Requirements

  • 2/3 years’ experience (minimum)
  • Strong knowledge within construction industry (ideally in surveying and monitoring industry)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ambition to learn and develop
