Established 35 years ago in Ireland, we now have over 140 employees in Ireland and over 90 employees in the UK. We cover many areas of surveying such as BIM, topographic surveys, setting out, monitoring, tunnels, railways, rivers, measured building surveys, utility & GPR, and much more.

Minimum requirements of post-holder

  • Manual Handling Training
  • Health, Safety and Environmental Training
  • CSCS Card
  • Physically capable to carry out the role
  • Able to travel nationwide
  • Very good level of English

General responsibilities of the post

  • To understand and support the requirements of the Health & Safety and Environmental Policies and Management System
  • To follow company procedures and policies
  • To carry out the appropriate tasks as outlined/briefed by the surveyor or project manager responsible
  • To understand the importance of good communication between colleagues/team leaders/PM’s
  • Be professional in all contact/conduct with public, client and fellow colleagues
  • To follow the required equipment + vehicle protocols
  • To attend briefings as required
  • To assist the surveyor in collecting/loading equipment
  • To report hours worked and description of works completed on Job Diary (KBOSS) daily.

Specific responsibilities of the post

  • To lead teams to carry out installation of monitoring projects under instruction and briefing by the Project Manager
  • To liaise with the Site Supervisor or Project Manager if any issues encountered during briefing.
  • To read and understand all methodologies and the project at hand.
  • To have good knowledge of monitoring survey techniques such as:
    • Ability to perform traverse with total station and level
    • Installation of control including number of points, density and location for the project at hand
    • Installation of monitoring points
    • Processing of control and monitoring through StarNet and/or other processing software
  • To have good knowledge of monitoring software for the following monitoring techniques:
    • Environmental
    • Geotechnical
    • Geodetic
  • To ensure all monitoring networks are installed as per dept. guidelines.
  • To ensure that all handovers upon completion of installation and project start are carried out if required i.e. if no Site Supervisor is present on project.
