Green CO2

Green CO2 plc specialises in providing certificates and guidance with regard to Energy Performance Services necessary under the government Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD).

Established in 2005, Green CO2 plc is committed to supporting environmental initiatives to reduce carbon emissions as well as providing the EPC assessors and logistical services required to implement Government legislation.

Green CO2 plc Energy Services Group offers an integrated service that helps their clients sort their DECs from their EPCs, as well as end-to-end project management support.

Green CO2 plc takes their corporate, social and environmental responsibilities very seriously. For every instruction they receive, they offset 150kg of carbon dioxide, by donating to environmental causes in the UK and the developing world. With their average public sector clients taking around 500 EPCs/DECs annually, this means that each will offset approximately 80 tonnes of CO2 which roughly translates to the entire yearly carbon output of ten people. For each of their clients they open an account with CO2 Balance which is credited with the volume of carbon dioxide offset through their orders. This means their clients not only receive great service, they also help the environment and can actually use this offsetting towards their carbon neutral status.

They’re also working towards becoming carbon neutral across the group, bringing the original aim of Energy Performance Certificates back into focus. i.e. to reduce the emission of energy from Irish and UK properties in line with the European Union Directive.
