As Built Surveys

The scale and speed of recent development means that most maps and plans are very soon out of date.
A finished structure seldom corresponds exactly to the original plans in every detail.

Unexpected, usually unforeseen difficulties often make variations from the plans necessary or, occasionally, variations may occur accidentally that are economically unfeasible to correct. The purpose of an As Built Survey is to record these variations. Typically this type of survey would be for submission to the local authority or project supervisors on completion of a construction project. The As-Built Survey allows efficient and smooth hand-over of the highway and residential areas to the local authorities. Murphy Surveys can provide guaranteed proof of conformity for these purposes.

As built surveys are compiled to show the actual condition of completed projects as they exist for record purposes and / or payment.

The As Built survey is usually carried out at the completion of the project, or as a precursor to new works being carried out on existing sites.
