Celebrating innovation at the New Civil Engineer Tunnelling Festival

Next week we’re celebrating the latest innovations in tunnelling and underground infrastructure at New Civil Engineer’s (NCE) Tunnelling Festival. The one day event brings together the British tunnelling community from decision makers to young engineers, highlighting the latest developments in best practice and technology. With speakers from Transport for London, Highways England, National Grid, Crossrail and High Speed Two, we’re set to gain an insight into the biggest challenges and opportunities for future growth in the sector.

Our Development Director Colin Murphy and Head of Monitoring Matthias Gropp will be at the event in the exhibition zone, discussing the work we’re doing to support the safety of tunnelling and below ground engineering works. Having worked on major infrastructure projects around the country including HS2 and Crossrail, they’ll be placing a spotlight on the critical importance of geospatial certainty to ensure the structural integrity of above ground infrastructure during construction.

Also taking place during the event is the annual NCE Tunnelling Awards, recognising expertise and project excellence. We’re excited to be shortlisted for no less than 3 awards, including Innovation in Instrumentation and Monitoring Award and the Community Engagement Award, which is a true testament to the hard work and commitment of our monitoring team to raise the standard across monitoring projects in the UK.

The event takes place on Thursday 6th December at the Grange Tower Bridge Hotel in London. For further details on how to register visit the event website.

Good luck to the team for their award shortlist!
