Celebrating innovation and technology in the built environment during Digital Construction Week 2018

Business transformation, Industry 4.0 and smart cities are just some of the topics being discussed next week during Digital Construction Week 2018 at ExCeL in London. The 2 day conference and exhibition celebrates innovation and will examine the importance and impact of technologies and processes such as BIM, VR/AR, Automation and Robotics, IoT and Big Data in the built environment.

This years’ event is expected to attract over 5,000 guests from across the industry, and our director Colin Murphy and the Murphy Surveys team will be on hand on stand B18 to discuss our latest innovations, tools and techniques for geospatial data capture and visualisation. From 3D laser scanning, Scan2BIM, subsurface mapping and monitoring, we support our clients to streamline workflows and reduce project risk with geospatial certainty.

We have 2 presentations taking place in the Geospatial Theatre during the show:

16:00 Wednesday 17th October Geospatial Theatre

IFC for Geometric Delivery

Enzo Labrosciano, Head of BIM, Murphy Surveys

13:00 Thursday 18th October Geospatial Theatre

Underground Mapping 450m of Birmingham Sewers

Andy Gundry, Subsurface Mapping Manager, Murphy Surveys

The seminar sessions are free to attend with your exhibition pass.

We’re also honoured to be the only survey company shortlisted for a Digital Construction Award. Our recent subsurface mapping project to map 450m of underground sewers in Birmingham, has been shortlisted for Project of the Year at the inaugural awards ceremony taking place on Wednesday 17 October. The Digital Construction Awards in association with the UK BIM Alliance, celebrates the advancements and expertise demonstrated through the adoption of digital technologies and processes in design, construction and engineering.
